If you’re tired of giving up your truck bed to a bulky fifth wheel hitch, this adapter makes it easy to switch. The Ranch Hitch Universal 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter converts your trailer’s king pin to a gooseneck coupler, letting you tow with a standard 2-5/16" gooseneck ball. Once unhooked, your bed is completely clear for hauling whatever else the day calls for.

With that kind of muscle, it’s ready for work trailers or large fifth wheels and keeps the connection solid mile after mile.
Not every tow setup sits the same, and this adapter gives you the flexibility to match your trailer and truck height. It adjusts vertically from 11-3/4" when collapsed to 14-3/4" when extended, giving you up to 3" of adjustment. That helps keep your trailer level and maintains the recommended 5"–6" clearance between the trailer overhang and truck bed rails for safe operation.
No more climbing into the bed to latch or unlatch. The remote coupler release lets you engage or release the coupler while standing beside the truck. It’s a small feature that makes a big difference every time you hook up or unhook—especially when you’re on your own.
This kit includes all hardware for bolt-on installation, designed so most can install it in under an hour with basic tools. It attaches over the king pin with a threaded collar system and secures with four Grade 8 bolts tightened to 55 ft-lbs. If welding is preferred, four one-inch tack welds by a certified welder can be used instead. Either way, the setup is strong, secure, and ready to tow.

I have had great success with this converter. Easy to install, I love the remote release cable. Ride is comfortable. Did not disappoint whatsoever.
This costs a little more than some of the adapters on (another site) but it appears to be much higher quality. Hooking a 26' camp trailer to a Dodge 2500. It fits perfectly.

to drill six holes mounted the spacers as per
instructions printed out. put the goose neck back
in place and the (easy) job was done !
Installed in about ten minutes, ( I used a bearing puller to seat the bushings ) five minutes to tack weld it into place and done. Pulls better than a fifth wheel hitch IMO. Seems to be made very well. Took two days for deliver. Very satisfied
High quality, heavy duty. I was hoping this was a more temporary mount if I decided to utilize the 5th wheel king pin. However, this is threaded on with 400lb torque and I had to tack weld the mount to the bottom of the king plate as there was no access to bolt through the pin box.
Installed on my fifth wheel. Easy to follow instructions, total time was about an hour. The lock is easy to place, install and use.
Be advised: if your king pin box is enclosed, you will need to weld this product on.

I have pulled my camping trailer approx. 300 hundred miles since I installed the adapter. It works great. Installation was pretty simple, the only difficult part was drilling the four holes thru my fifth wheel box. E-trailer service and shipping were great!
Very easy to install had to use weld methed on king plate like very well would buy again. Price very good shipping good.

I have an Ultra-Fab trailair air ride kingpin system on my fifth wheel. Can the gooseneck adapter be installed on that type of system?

Gave a test run and seems good fella good and looks great. I like the 24000 and 6000 lbs feature think it is stronger of course.
Seems to be a very well built product. Good price and shipped fast. Fairly simple to install, I recommend having a friend or two around to help tighten everything down. Also I preferred to bolt rather than weld ( unless you have a closed off pin box), you never know when you may need to go back to fifth wheel in a hurry.

How does collar system attach to king pin ? Thanks
The Ranch HItch 5th wheel adapter AM3100 was everything that we needed and more!! It fit perfectly and was a breeze to install. We will be pulling our "home" around the country when we retire. We didn't want to have the back of the truck to be full of "hitch" with no room for much else. The Gooseneck adapter is the perfect choice for us!! GREAT PRODUCT!!!
Product shipped/arrived timely from eTrailer; installation instructions provided by Anderson Manuf are very clear/easy to follow. Hitch is very easy to install. Attached to 30' fifth wheel, 11,000lbs tow weight and immediately pulled the trailer thru steep hill country without any hesitation. Pulling cattle trailers/heavy hay trailers, i know heavy duty hitches when i see them and this is a great product; HIGHLY recommended. Remote latching mechanism is a great feature; it too is very solid/secure
Works great
Works great! Used the Anderson Ultimate in the past and it worked great until I put a fuel tank in the truck. After that there wasn’t enough room for the Anderson, needed something different. Check spacing on several hitches but none allowed the room. The gooseneck adapter works as advertised and now have extra bed space for gear. Picked up the gooseneck safety chains also from another vendor just to add the extra safety margin in there. Adapter is easy to hook up and works great. Still have to climb in the bed to hook up safety chains but it does work. Also love the plastic pad between the ball and the hitch so I don’t have a greasy gooseneck ball to deal with.
Order confirmation was fast, shipping was fast, they said it would be here Saturday but ups doesn’t deliver on Saturday or Sunday so it didn’t get here until Monday. I knew this so I was expecting it and I didn’t need it right away so to me it didn’t matter. Everything was delivered in good shape when it got here. I’ve bought one of these from strainer before and liked it so when I found I was in need of a goose neck adapter again I got the same one and etrailer came through again. This adapter is expensive but it works great. Would recommend.

It didn’t work for me nothing wrong with product just wasn’t what I needed
The Ranch Hitch adaptor was a breeze to install. We installed it on our 5th wheel trailer so it would attach to the stock turn over ball hitch in the bed of our F-250. Drove 1,100 miles in 2 and a 1/2 days, from Peyton CO. to Big Bear CA. No problems.
